2024 Rays Tribute: The World's Hottest Wheels

How many spokes does it take to change the world? If you’ve never seen a modified car or live at the bottom of the ocean, most car enthusiasts will say the answer is six. Rays, the Japanese wheel manufacturer, is one the most celebrated automotive brands on the planet. Classics like the TE37, ZE40, CE28 and many more have been staples in the automotive aftermarket parts department for decades. When you're as big as Rays you can throw a show filled with cars on just your wheels, which is exactly what they did for the 2024 Rays Tribute in El Segundo California at none other than Mattel Headquarters. Wannabe Productions was there to highlight some of the cars on the world’s hottest wheels.

TE37 The World

It wouldn't be a Rays meet without the TE37. The TE37 is one of the longest running lines from the brand and the most iconic. With no surprise, the six spoke spokesperson's present was loud and clear.

A Dodge Charger SRT on TE37 Ultra Track Edition II was a sight for sore eyes. More American cars on Japanese wheels please.

An Aston on air? Impressive. TE37 SL Sonics? A classic tuner touch for an elegant English Cruiser.

We got there early enough for the roll in to see what the people had to show. An FK8 Civic Type R on TE37 Dura's isn't a bad wad way to start thee morning.

The TE37 is a Volk Racing wheel. This Evo 8 has enough aero to put the "Racing" name to the test.

Rays Off-Road

Perhaps the most suprising use of a set of TE37s is on this G-Wagon. Mag Blue on white is classic color combo but is polarizing on the off road Mercedes.

4Runners on TE37 XTs will never not be exciting. The custom blue is a nice custom touch and offsets the tone of this Toyota.

More Show Favorites

It been a while since we have seen a two tone S13 this clean. As if that wasn't a treat in itself, it sits on an incredibly clean set of Rays Nismo LMGT2s.

ZE40s are long time fan favorite Rays Wheel. The natural aggressiveness of the wheel is only amplified by special optional colors.

The gold face 21A is a fitting wheel on this Alpine white E46 M3.

Lets be honest, CE28s were made for S2000's.

A track stance S550 Mustang on Gram Light 57DRs was a sight to behold. The six spoke wheel compliments the aero elements, giving this pony car the appearance of a throughout bred.

All in all the Rays Tribute meet was the place to be. I hope that the wheel company returns to the West Coast next year!
